Vancouver Maple melamine kitchen with
Karoo Ice granite counters
Vancouver Maple melamine
kitchen with Karoo Ice
granite counters.
Vancouver Maple is one of
the most sold melamine
boards on the market. This
kitchen remodel was done
using that and Karoo Ice
granite to compliment the
maple. Allot of pot drawer
cabinets as well as spice
drawer cabinets were added
to the floor units for easy
access to the items stored.
A huge corner pantry with
cross shelving was also
installed to make the corner
more reachable. The auto
open bin was installed under
the prep bowl for disperse of
vegetable peels when
peeling them.
THE MICROWAVE UNIT IS
ONE OF THE 'MUST HAVE'S'
IN THE KITHCHEN.THE SIDES
ARE CUT AT A 45' ANGLE
SO AS TO MAKE THE TOP
OF THE CABINET MORE
SHALLOW AND THE CABINET
ABOVE THE MICROWAVE
MORE EASILY ACCESSIBLE.
THE
SINK WE USED HERE IS A DOUBLE BOWL AND IS PART OF THE NEUMAN RANGE .THE
MIXER WAS MOUNTED AGAINST THE WALL AND HAS A HOT AND COLD LEVER YOU CAN
SET WITH YOUR ELBOW.THE NEUMAN DOUBLE BOWL WITH MIXER WILL SET YOU BACK
ABOUT R5000
THE RONDO RDX 610 C1 FRANKE
PREP BOWL HAS A SLEEK LOOK
AND AMPLE SPACE TO WORK
IN.THE EXQUISITE LOOK OF
THE DRAINING PLUG MAKES
THIS WELL PRICED PREP
BOWL LOOK MORE
EXPENSIVE THAN IT REALY
IS.
THIS 45L PULL OUT BIN HAS A LID
THAT OPENS UP WHEN THE DOOR
OF THE CUPBOARD IS OPENED.
THIS KEEPS THE SMELL OF THE
GARBAGE IN THE BIN AND OUT
OF THE KITCHEN.THE BIN ALSO
HAS A RING THAT CLIPS OVER THE
TOP EDGE OF THE DRUM CLAMPING
THE BAG ONTO THE BIN SO IT DOES
NOT FALL IN.
THE SPICE DRAWER HAS TWO SHELVES
FOR PACKING SPICES AND CONDIMENTS.
THE TOP SHELF IS USED FOR SPICES IN
SHORT BOTTLES AND THE BOTTOM FOR
TALLER BOTTLES LIKE COOKING OIL AND
TOMATO SAUCE.IF YOU RUN OUT OF
SPACE HERE YOU CAN ALWAYS STORE
SOME OF THE SPICES IN THE PANTRY
KITCHEN CABINET.
The
pantry kitchen cabinet
The pantry kitchen
cabinet is used to store grocceries. This kitchen cabinet can be made to
a size of 1000mm in width up to 1300mm.The wider the pantry the wider
the cabinet doors will be and the easier you will be able to reach inside
and acces the grocceries.Notice the cris cross shelves inside the pantry. They
overlap one another allowing for more space and more functionality. The
pantry kitchen cabinet has shelves which are 250mm in depth allowing for
ample storage space.Just remember,if the shelves become to deep the space
inside the pantry becomes smaller.I good height to make the pantry kitchen
cabinet is 2300mm.This will give you allot of shelving for packing and
storage.Remember to fit a 45 degrees hinge on the cabinet carcase to fit
the door to otherwise you will have the fitt a upright 90 degrees with
the door to fitt the door too. This specific kitchen has a kitchen pantry
that is built in the corner of the kitchen. You also get a pantry cabinet
that you build against a straight wall. You would normaly make the cabinet
anything from 700mm to 1200mm in width for maximum space utility.Remember
to make sure that the shelves of the kitchen pantry are at least 300mm
away from one another otherwise the condoments wont fit on the shelves. If
you have abit of extra money to spend on the kitchen you can build a kitchen
pantry and fitt a stainless steel laader unit in it.Just make sure that
the cabinet height is at least 1936mm.A good laader unit will set you
back about R3000 but makes life very easy in the kitchen. Not to mention
the sleak look it leaves.Always use a solid melamine chipboard back for
the pantry so as to fitt the shelves against. This will also make the cabinet
structure stronger and last longer. When you build the kitchen , make sure
you start with the kitchen pantry cabinet first because this is probably
the most difficult base unit to fitt and level. After you have made 100%
sure that the cabinet is level you can line up and fix the other units
to the pantry unit.Remmember that the floor of the kitchen as well as
the walls and roof is always skew so dont assume the kitchen pantry cabinet
is straight.....know its straight.
