This bedroom cupboard was built with a male and female side. The male side has two hanging rails for shirts and trousers where as the female side has only one hanging rail for dresses and night gowns.

Four door built in bedroom cupboards
The great thing about this built in bedroom cupboard was that it had walls on
either sides of the cupboard. This meant that no Mahogany melamine panels
were needed to panel up the sides of the built in cupboards. That in itself was
a huge saving for our client as color melamine costs 1/3 more than white
melamine. The height of the ceiling also allowed us to save on the melamine
as we could supply shorter cupboards. We also supply 150mm PVC legs
with our cupboards instead of 100mm legs which makes the carcass shorter
saving on the amount of melamine used to construct it. The shortening on the
height of the cupboards allowed us to supply additional shelving to the
built in bedroom cupboards for extra packing space.
The bedroom cupboard was fitted with Devon doors. The core of the Devon
doors is Supawood. The beveled edge on the Devon doors is made by
routing away the edges of the Supawood panel and machining a filming
that is the same color as the doors onto the edge. If you want to work out the
price of Devon doors you can just multiply the length of the door with the
width of it and them multiply it with the price your supplier sells it for per
square meter.
Tip: Did you know that the price of melamine Supawood per square
is the same as chipboard melamine with 3mm impact edging on
per square meter?
The handles on the Devon doors is 96mm stainless steel bar handles. These
handles were about R15 each. Usually bedroom cupboards are fitted with
longer handles but they also cost allot more. A bar handle that is 600mm in
length will cost you R70- R80 so if you have to buy four for your cupboard
you can expect to pay round about R300 more.
